Mr. JB,<br />I ain't real smart, I don't know what your reply means?<br />I have a 1986 45hp Mariner that will run on the battery for 2-3 trips and the battery gradually goes down to a point it will not start the engine. I then have to recharge it with a battery charger.<br />The alternator or generator is not charging.<br />I wish to find out here how to check it to find exactly what part/s I need to fix it.<br />I have had this outboard motor for 1 month, it took a while for the problem to show up as I use it only on weekends to realize it wasn't charging.<br />Thank you for your reply.
