45hp chrysler need help!!!!

i bought this motor two yrs ago. this spring the starter sticks and won't spin the motor over after it did before i took the plugs out and replaced them. the starter engages then humms. just had it rewired last fall. i'm not much of a mechanic when it comes to outboards. anyone no someone in green bay wi.:confused:

sounds like a bad connection ...next time you try it quickly touch the battery connections and earth and solenoid .if any are hot thats the problem...thick starter cables and a good battery are essential with these motors I have the 35hp....

Yep, double check your connections. Make sure they are clean and tight. Same for the battery connections and have a fully charged battery.. Switch the battery for a test as well.

Jump the Solenoid to bypass and see if the starter cranks. This will tell you if the solenoid is bad.
