470 help

hey guys, i found a sea ray srv260 for sale near me with twin 470s. was winterized two years ago but not started since. what are your thoughts? should i just forget about it? i havent heard many great things about these motors.

If you already had this boat, most of us would "all over" helping you "fix" it.

If you do not own it,

Most of us are "all over" trying to talk you out of buying it!!!

If you can afford to pull the 2 engines out and replace them with something else, go for it....

Don't even think about buying a boat with twins without at least taking it for a test run.

And getting it THOROUGHLY checked out by a COMPETENT mechanic.

Not just with twins... ANY boat! It amazes me how many people buy boats (and cars) without even starting them, have little or no mechanical ability, for this 'fantastic price', and then are bemused when they don't work! :facepalm:

Call me Dumb-founded...!!
