I have a 1984 aluminum crestliner with the mercruiser 470 set up. I have bought a donor boat with a 1989 mercruiser 3.0 Im going to swap and put the 3.0 in my crestliner. My question is Im replacing my transom anyway and was planning on using the old transom as a pattern. will the key hole cut out need to be the same for the 3.0 as the 470 or will I need to make some changes.
