92 48 spl. Has hydraulic tilt and trim. It seems to be a hot topic but before I jump in to rebuild kits..i want to get others opinion..
the trim motor runs well and fast. Lowering, it works great (gravity). Raising it..much slower and after half way it kinda hesitates and moves little at a time. Will not reach full tilt to engage lock on the motor but if someone gives it a tad lift it will go. Also...at any angle going up- it can NOT move while at any speed. Pushing against thrust is too much!! Although it never leaks down. Always holds where it's left off. I have not looked into it much and in the process of locating manual online to buy. Any trusted sources? Thx

a recent T&T fix suggested (racerone ?) was to tilt up and down 10 times while refilling (topping) the oil while in the up position. do searches on this site or aomci

Yes I saw that after my post. I went and raised the motor all the way up. Removed the fill and it was under vacuum and no fluid to come out. Boat isn't even level.. I will get some fluid. If I remove the lower screw and lower the motor down..can i flush the fluid out that way....to replace it all..or most

Don't drain it - just fill it when in the up position. Replace cap. Run it down and back up, remove cap and top it off again. Repeat process.
