485 mercruiser tilt/trim problems

Sorry about the thread hijacking. It's my first time. Having a hard time getting my trim/tilt to lower. My fluid is full, and I can hear a clicking noise when I push the button on the throttle lever. The motor tilts up but not down. Any help would b nice. Thanks. It's a mercruiser 485/ 3.7 liter 185hp

Does your trim pump have one or two solenoids on it?

The down is green/white stripe. The solenoid is for up, Since it works up, you have either a bad connection, broken wire or a faulty trim switch on the green wires.

Found both sets of wires that go to the limit switches on each side of the out drive are shot. How hard is it to run new wires back to the silonide.
