I have a '77-'80? Thundercraft Bowrider Trihull that I came home to find submerged in 2 feet of water @ the end of my dock. I had it out for 2 days before that no obvious leaks before this. Bilge area was dry? How can I now find the leak? it's out of the water and on my trailer. There is a small gouge above my drain plug where it looks like the lower unit wore through, but didn't appear to go through the inner skin. The previous owner had caulked this but it fell out. Also with the double floor its hard to tell where the bubbles are coming from in the water. I inspected the underside look good? I'm @ a loss. Oh and obiusly the drain plug was in! Please help!

Re: 4s2wwr

I had a minor leak in a 91 Cajun 18' bass boat that drove me nuts. I say minor, it would take on a gallon every hour and a half or so. After searching everywhere and resealing every possible problem, I finally put in the sump plug and started filling it up with water figuring I'd either find the leak or break it in half.
Well I found my leak after putting about 15 gallons in the hull, fixed it, and that boat never took on any water after that.
So, if you can get your boat up in the dry, I'd put in the plug and start filling it slowly until the leak reveals itself.
