5.0 cobra OMC.

1990 Sunbird corsica 195 with a OMC cobra 5.0. Yersterday my son was going out and when he put in drive the boat sounded like it was in neutral. No propulsion but it did go in reverse. Any ideas on what I should be looking at? Thanks.

Wrong forum....

But you will be checking the shift cable first and properly adjusting it. Then move onto sourcing a new outdrive.

OMC's are OK if you keep the cable adjusted. The cable is what destroys the drive.
