Hi all , I have 2003 Larson with a 5.0 gxi-e, my question is where on the engine is the temperature sensor for the ECM located? I have an idea which one it is, but not positive. My boat seems to be running rich and cuts out at high rpm. Thanks for any help.

Should be by or on the thermostat housing. Might want to check your fuel pressure, the fuel pressure regulator has a screen that likes to plug up and cause those symptoms. There is a service bulletin on how to remove the screen and replace it with a special C-clip.

Thanks for the info muc , I just put a new fuel pump on because the old one was whining pretty bad, and today I pulled the regulator and cleaned the screen, it had some gunk on it but didn't seem to bad. I'm wondering if the temp sensor for the ECM is faulty , making it think the engine is still cold, which is causing it to over fuel. It runs fine for the first 5 minutes or at low speeds, then begins cutting out after warm. I hate to just keep throwing parts at it but not sure what else to do. Thanks again

Need to get your tach working. 2000 rpms is not high. How much throttle is it at when it cuts out?
