The engine runs fine when primed with gas, but as soon as that's used up, it stalls and a no-start condition ensues.
I'm assuming it's the fuel pump assembly, but could use some help. Aside from checking for blockages are there other possible causes or things to consider first?
Thank you!

I believe this a MPI engine and thus subject to the VP fuel cells had internal paint that breaks down with ethanol gas. The resulting chips / goo can easily plug up the pressure regulator and / or the injectors. This issue is typically associated with a fuel pump whine as well as the pump running hot. Or it could be just a failing pump unable to deliver the needed gas under pressure for the injectors. Thus, the trouble shooting starts with checking the pressure as Scott is recommending. If this is something you need help with, please check out this video (link) and / or keep asking questions. Once pressure is known, please post and we’ll go from there. This issue is 100% solvable and the good folks here will help you get back on the water.
