5.0 mpi to 5.7 mpi

I have a 2002 5.0 mpi with a cracked block.
I would like to upgrade to a 5.7 but keep the mpi, other than a 5.7 long block what else is needed? I am thinking injectors, ecm remap...
Or am I being hoplessly optimistic and be better off using a new 305 block and swap everthing over?

What's the SN of your engine. Year doesn't mean anything in boat engines.

Unfotunatly the boat is a couple of hundred miles away, I will get down there next week at find the SN.
