I've asked this question before. What would it take to swap in a 5.7 motor with my existing 5.0 1998 fuel injected motor. Obviously. knowledge with the ECm fuel distribution. is the key point here.
I would think not much if the block is the same vintage. All externals from 305 on the 350, Alternator, water pump, fuel pump, starter, should be good to go. Drive ratio would be same.
The word "fuelly" doesn't really say much, neither does year 2000.
Mercruiser goes by serial numbers and on the parts lists they say 1998 and newer.
So it's impossible to say for sure if you have TBI injection or MPI. Let alone what will work from a 5.0 to a 5.7 in the injection system.
