Thank Goodness this season is almost over. Let the nightmare end.

I was being optimistic, and hoping for a win today, but after 3/4's...What an embarrasment.

I wouldn't throw a team that gives 100% under the bus, but this team doesn't look like it is trying at all.

I don't want any chance for this team to make the playoffs, than to get national coverage crushed in the wild card game.

RIP 2009-10 NY Football Giants. Go anyone else (except Cowboys, Ha ha ha) !

Did not see the game today as we drove our son back to Toronto because he had to work after his "short" Christmas break but saw the score !!!
Just got home and looked up the score.
Not Good !!!
Looking for Angus to give his input as well.

How could a season that started out 5-0 and included two wins over the Cowboys be a nightmare??

I think you are looking at the glass as half empty.

I view it as a nightmare because:

Most of the players or units are at least better than average. Giants have the highest paid QB ( But don't get me started on Eli.)

They once had an "Elite" O-Line that has plummeted in performance, yet there were no roster changes. These guys couldn't keep the JV back ups off Manning.

Giants had a Defence that was feared. Now the front four have to stop and ask for directions to find the QB, a secondary that thinks it's playing a game of monkey in the middle, and LB's that can't plug a run or cover a TE.

The weak spot going into the season, did turn out to be a pleasant surprise, in Manningham, Smith and Hixon.

A mack truck RB that had a history of bulldozing his way down field, not being able to find 2nd gear this year.

For most of the season, it looked like no one was trying to win. I have more respect for a bad player that gives 100% every weekend.

The Talent is more than there, but there was NO emotion or leadership for most of the season, to pull it all together.

The 5-0 start could be exaggerating the disapointment. It could have created higher expectations, making the rest of the collapse season more dramatic. I dunno...

Re: 5/4's Left for Miserable Giant Season

I am really disappointed by really only one thing this season. We showed absolutely no heart when it counted most. I sat in the stands last night and after the opening drive ended in a fumble, I did not see a glimpse of any spirit or effort that would be expected in a must win to get to the playoffs. I would go as far to say that many team members conceded the second half. I can deal with injuries and the occasional error, but the last home game for a playoff shot, the last game in the 34 yr stadium, and the last game for many long time season ticket holders, and not playing your heart out till the final whistle defines and captures the character my team displayed recently. We've had a good run the past few seasons, but I'm hoping for some shaking up this offseason to bring some fight back in my NY Giants that's been lacking of late. Happy New Year Giants fans!!

I gave up on the giants after they lost to the Broncos on Thanksgiving.

JB, any year you do not make the playoffs after starting 5-0 is a disappointment.

Well, I guess I will just root for the Jets now, and anybody who plays the Eagles.
