My starter and flywheel have to be replaced. I have already pulled the motor and am wondering since I have to pull the rubber coupling to replace the flywheel should I replace the rubber coupling with a new one?

Is the rubber coupling a high failure item or do they kind of last forever?

no need to replace the $70 flywheel when you can get a $15 ring gear at your local auto parts store

if you check the alignment of the drive every year like the maintenance manual tells you, they will last a really really really really long time.
