5.7 Gi-E Half coolingsystem to Full system

Hello, I have a 2004 5.7 Gi-E with closed cooling system (volvo penta original heat exchanger). Thinking about transforming it to full cooling system (engine+manifolds). Question is: Can the heat exchanger and seawaterpump handle the extra heatload from the manifolds. ?

Ayuh,..... You'll need a Much Larger exchanger to do that,.....

Ok, Thanks for answers. Well i might then be looking for some Stainless Marine manifolds or similar, for longer life.

the chief engineer at VP developed their neutra salt injection system to keep manifolds running longer.

Stainless Marine, EMI, IMCO, Kodiak, Dana, Ietc. are all good choices. with the aluminum exhaust manifolds, make sure to spring for the hard anodizing. if you go with CMI e-tops or the HiTek headers, they are stainless, other than fatique cracks requiring welding every 5 years or so, not a bad product either.
