Hi everyone
The underpowered 192 Bayliner is getting a transplant with a 5.7 litre Mercruiser
She's a sexy fit but came a croppa with the front engine mount plates/ brackets
Is there anything manufactured for this application , it's the only thing I didn't think of and holding me back
Has anyone else attempted this?
Any help or advice would be appreciated
Thank you for your time, Cheers! 20220727_112831.jpg

first, the drive should be off. it is 20 times harder to install a motor with the drive and you have to remove the drive to align the motor anyway. so save yourself a headache and pull the drive

second, not sure a bayliner is worth hitek exhaust manifolds.

third, you have to fabricate and fiberglass mounts into the boat if it didnt have the longer mounts for a V8

4th, if you had a motor other than a V8, you will need to swap the drive for a correct ratio drive.

Hey mate, thank you for your time
She was running a 3 litre mercruiser with a not very old Alfa 1 leg ,
The exhaust was already on the motor
Came out of a leader
And looks like fab and fiberglass is going to be the way to go even for the extra strength

going from the 2:1 ratio of the 3 liter to the required 1.47:1 ratio for the 5.7 will require a different drive ratio.

If you need guidance on the fiberglass. go to the stickies in the restoration forum.

So the Alfa 1 leg that came with v8 would definitely be wise , Cheers mate
