Hey guys,

My engine was running smooth and began running some circles in the bay with my 23 foot Sea Ray Cruiser. I heard the engine capulate (hope I spelled that correctly) and then I stalled out. After that, I was able to start the boat and run it at high speeds, but I can't keep it in neutral or let the RPM's below 1000k or it stalls. That being said, I replace the carb filter and put some deep cleaner in the carb to clean out the insides to see if that was the problem and it still didn't work. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks,

Tim

Welcome to iboats.

Unfortunately it's rare to get anything to self-clean carbs. 99% of the time you need to take them apart. Before you do that, check the spin-on fuel filter for water. If it has a bunch in there, then you found the problem.
