OK everybody, please bear with me this is my first boat. I was convinced by this gentleman that the starboard engine was just a dead battery and he had it running it was perfect the port motor runs fantastic I have changed the oil I’ve done everything I was supposed to do now on the stern drive I mean the starboard engine it won’t start I replace the cabin rotor I replace the spark plugs I replace the plug wires I installed a fuel pressure regulator to go insurance at 5 to 6 psi It seems to have decent compression I has plenty of fuel it’s not the carburetor I took the carburetor from the running port motor and put it on the starter starboard engine and it still didn’t run it seems like it’s getting too much gas in the filling of the plugs well it’s not anything with you so I’m thinking maybe it has too Little spark. Where I live it’s a bunch of jackasses who don’t wanna do anything I waited a month for a service team to come out they spent five minutes standing over the boat looking at it didn’t try to turn it over didn’t do anything they saw I installed a fuel pressure regulator is it oh I need two new motors they tried to sell me two new motors and I explained that the port motor was fine well they got agitated and they left leaving me with four weeks of waiting on a boat I just bought in a marina I just paid lots of money for for a boat that is just sitting there and I can’t do anything with please help is it possible the The ignition coil which is this to me looks like the black-can-with two electrodes on top. Or the ignition control module which sits in the bottom of the distributor know I don’t know much about motors but I know doing with most the eye wires can do is the distributor cap the end of the rotor spark plugs wires are installed a regulator just simple stuff that you can be taught how to do I can do but I don’t know how to troubleshoot so is it possible he’s getting some spark but not enough she start the motor because the engine is in great shape but it’s not getting spark and I can’t figure it out it’s getting spark in some areas but it’s OK compression it’s a Fuel pressure isOK plenty o air And what I can see some spark but doesn’t seem consistent is it possible that I need to replace the coil or the module or maybe turn the distributor slightly to adjust the timing
