What is the cover called that mounts around the crank shaft on the rear of the motor? It's the piece that the rear of the oil pan seals/mounts to. I need one and I do not think I have the common term for it.

Motor is a 5.7, post 86, pre 96. Block casting 14093638

Thanks Eric

Re: 5.7 motor question

This is what confuses me.

When I tried to find the part, all I could find was info on adapters like this. I think the word adapter is misleading, and i think I just need to get a seal adapter that fits my 1 piece sealed crank.

Sound right?

I'd say adapter is misleading. Unless I'm missing something I believe this is what you're looking for.
