ok guys i have a strange problem. I have a 1988 beachcraft with a 5.7 omc. i winterized it last year in september put her in the garage like always and went to fire it yesterday for fishin and it will not run correctly its mis firing very bad popping out the carb and has condensation in the valve covers. no water in the oil tho. points are good replaced the plugs just in case. seams to be steaming more than usual. Took it on the water to make sure it was not just a couple collapsed lifters from sitting but didnt work. Any ideas?

can you run it on a sep can of fresh fuel directly from the pump to the can of gas? when you winterized it did you drain the manifolds?

I will try that. I just pulled the fuel filter or water seperater by the pump and am going to replace it. and yes i draing the manifolds. I am just puzzled as iv owned my boat for 10 years with never any problem but points.

so i replaced the filter and no change. i also forgot to mention i am having excessive noise from the lifters or from under the valve covers. and the water coming from the left pipe is drastically warmer that the other pipe. {it has thru hull exhaust} what the heck???
