Good morning!

Bought a new to me 1999 Glastron with 5.7gsi Volvo penta SX drive. Changed gear oil at beginning of season and it was ok. A little on the dark side but not milky. Went to change it post season (yesterday) and it was milky brown. I've read common causes to be o-rings. I want to change the O-rings and pressure test it. Where do you get a pressure tester? What is a good pressure and how long should it hold?

Also how hard/easy is it to change bellows? Would rather just change them out while I'm doing things to the boat if possible. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, just don't want to start something that end up being difficult or require specialty tools!

Thanks all!!

You don't change seals because it's a "Common" place to leak. You replace what is leaking.
Pull the drive, drain the gear lube and pressure test the drive http://forums.iboats.com/mercruiser...sure-check-prior-post-233546.html#post1573303

Once you get the drive pressurized to around 15 psi, spraying soapy water around every seal will locate the offending seal. It will blow bubbles.

Changing the bellows is easy once the drive is off.
