5.7GL Mercruiser erratic idle on low rpm's, Need help to troubleshot the problem.....

Hi, boat info-1996 Chaparral Signature 25.5 / 5.7GL mercruiser, new spark plug change already done, but on low rpm's the idle is erratic, i been told that maybe is a valve close or stuck an that scare me, there's a link or guide that i can follow to thoubleshot this situation any advice going to be apreciate.

Not familiar with a 5.7GL mercruiser. How about a serial number?

Sorry for the delay and thanks for reply.... SN 4110137576, if anyone can direct me to a link for parts guides for the complete boat going to be apreciate, i'm just very frustated just looking for a guide for parts for this boats without results only can find was 2003 +, tx.

UHM, that's a Volvo serial #. Your description is really vaque please clarify! We can fix it here, but the sign does say MERCRUISER! not yelling
