5.8FL Wiring Schematic

Where can i get a wiring schematic for my 5.8FL in a 1995 Wellcraft 260S Eclipse. I have the wiring harness from the iboats parts list but this does not show me where each wire should be routed. I am trying to trace down a bunch of unconnected wires.

What is the full model number of your engine, it could be a 94 engine in a 95 boat. Not uncommon at all in boats.

The full model is another of my problems. I know it is 5.8FL because of the label on the carb cover and the manifold 7 belt arrangement. I can not identify the remainder of the model as it is a new engine installed in Oct 12. There are some wires left lose. Not sure if they have been replaced or if aux equipment was never hooded back up. I am having other repairs completed first before we start on the wiring and i wanted to get prepaired. See photo attached. Would love to have a full electrical schamatic of the boat if possible but have been unable to find one. Wellcraft 260S Eclipse, 1995.

Looks like you have other problems as well. That is an automotive distributor, and has no place on a marine engine. It is not spark protected as marine distributors are, and the advance is not for marine applications. marine engines also do not use a vacuum advance.
I would be seriously worried about other electrical items like the alternator and starter. Are they marine for the same reason, and what about the fuel pump and carb. Are they marine, or can they fail and dump fuel directly into the bilge. Marine fuel systems are designed to prevent that.

Turn out the online manuals for 94 or 95 don't have the wiring diagrams in them, but the 96 model does. Here is all there is on the Fords, if you want the color version, you would have to find the electrical and ignition manual for the HU (95) models. Wiring diagram for the boat would have to come from Wellcraft, this forum only deals with Volvo.
