5-Pole Trailer Harness - Auto Side

All, I currently have a 4 pole modulite adapter for my vehicle side. This supplies the power to the trailer for trailer lights off the main auto battery instead of power from the auto light system itself.

Long story short, the trailer I have has the surge disk brake system and the last owner changed the normal 5 pole trailer harness to a 4 pole. The 5th pole is to actuate the selonoid so you can back the trailer without the brakes actuating. Guess he didn't know that you could just plug into a normal 4 pole.

I am after a 5 pole harness that is the powered version and I cannot find it. Know where I can get it?

If all else fails, I suppose I can pull 12v off the battery for the selonoid and run it off a relay that is activated by my backup lights. If they have it made though, I'd rather go that route.

It's not a factory hook up. I had to use one of the 3 wire modulite 4 pole to get the trailer lights. I have googled and searched and haven't found much for the 5 pole. I may be down to the relay option. thanks.

here's the info you need, just splice into a back up light positive wire.

I think that is what I am going to do this weekend. I am going to run a relay instead of powering the selenoid off the backup lights themself. I'd fell better this way becasue I don't know the current draw for it.
