After the 1st launch of the season and opening it up after warm up I heard a pop and throttled back, idled to the slip.
Thought the pop was water so I replaced the filter and went for another ride, seemed smoother then heard the pop again @ ~4200RPM, this time the engine died and would not start. Found one of the wires going to the 50A brkr broken. Was able to get back in under my own power which is a good thing.

This is my question, could an intermittent connection at this point cause the popping and rough running? Both times I heard the pop was at high RPM, assume that's when the connection was lost.

Any opinions?

Ayuh,.... Same as turnin' the key off, 'n blowin' out the muffler when We were kids,....

It oughta been Poppin' through the Exhaust though, not the carb,.....

The runnin' rough was probably the filter,....
