50 Chrysler are coils working?

I have a 50 hp chrysler 2 cyl. Bottom cylinder<br />works good. Top cylinder wont fire.<br />This motor has 1 carb.<br /><br />I have checked points, new plug wire ,new plugs.<br />Carb is feeding top cylinder. so i suppect its feeding bottom one. Using service manual and test light checked fire to coils. I turned the flywheel and fire was going to the top coil. But no fire is comming out the other end. Using a timming light to the top plug wire . I saw no fire.<br /> <br />Question , Iam I wright to think its the coil thats bad?<br /><br />Motor will start and run. but no fire to top cylinder. model #507H1A SErial# 1523

Sounds like you are on the right track.<br /><br />You can switch the coils around and see if the problem follows the suspected bad coil.
