50 Force motor issues

I have a 50 Force and have been having issues like no other

here’s the current problem and please any help would be great

motor idles like a champ but if u so much as look the throttle it dies fires right back up and idles but don’t give throttle

but if u choke it then bobs ur uncle we have power but let go of choke so it opens and touch throttle and again dies

Have you attempted any repairs?Tell us what you did?

Start with a spark test and then clean/rebuild the carb.
Reset the float, check the reeds when cleaning the pump.
I'd check the diaphragm in the fuel pump.

Well it was running but no power then it wouldn’t start took it to a retired marine guy and he replaced the high jet or something

he said he got its running and yes he did but now as soon as hit throttle it dies unless u keep it choked then it runs and has power

he told me he did a compression check and it was good

am really not good with boat motors and it’s frustrating
