I attempted to change the water pump in my 1989 Force 50 hp motor.
I’m having difficulties with the assembly. There is a copper pipe that is right next to the shift draw and goes on parallel to it. This pipe came out completely of the motor, as I separated the lower unit, and a rubber seal the shape of a tall hat also came out. This seal is of about 1 inch in diameter and a little bit more in length. The opening in the center appears to be for the copper pipe but it is wider, so it does not completely sealing anything. I don’t know where the seal actually came from and how to put it on. How can I connect the pipe back with or without this seal. Everything else seems fine. Thank you.
Joral
Venies1@hotmail.com

I dont know Force motors but you should really have a service manual when tackling a repair.
Dont know if it will help with your problem.
Manuals are available at the tab at the top of the page or NAPA,Amazon.com the library etc. etc.
Good luck.
