Hi all. This question must get asked a lot -- I just read a post complaining about manuf. date seekers... Oh well. I really need to know my motor's manuf. date to get the right manual, and the folks here seem to be so informative & helpful, that I'm sure my request will be no problem!<br /><br />The serial # is 4966301. It's approx late 70's/early 80's black/blue Mercury 500/ 50HP w/ Thunderbolt ignition & the big horiz. fins above the prop. Manual trim w/ throttle lever, warm-up lever & rubber push-button choke.<br /><br />Can someone date it from this info? Or is there somewhere on the motor I can look?
