This is a 50 hp 1982 merc, just replace trigger(had a bad black wire) and repaired yellow wires on stater due to bad wires. the coil packs and plug wires are good and tested and ohmed out, as well as I swapped with working wires to test. Stator ohm's out on around 8.00 on the 20k setting for low side and 65.5 at the 200ohm setting on the meter for the high side, spec is like 300-5000 for low side and 5700 to 7000 high side, so is that a bad stator??? the switch box puts out voltage for all four cylenders, yet there is no spark on 2 and 4, got any ideas. followed cdi instructions. test as well, plz help if you can....
Re: 50 hp Spark on 1 and 3 but NO SPARK on 2 and 4
also I noticed that the switch box uses a circuit for cylinders 1 and 2 and another circuit for 3 and 4 so if 1 and 3 are firing than part of each circuit is working.... right?
Re: 50 hp Spark on 1 and 3 but NO SPARK on 2 and 4
1 & 3 is a pair and 2 & 4 is a pair, flip 1 & 3 to the 2 & 4 terminals of switch box,if 2 & 4 now fire the trigger is bad,if not the switchbox is bad....
