Hey guys,
I've got a 50 hp force 2 stroke that runs great and starts up great when warm but when its cold it has a hell of a time starting. The first time I attempt to crank it it will fire in a half turn but only run for a split second, after that I have to crank it for a good 10 to 15 straight seconds before it will go. I'm assuming that initial fire is from the left over gas in the carb. So it seems that the problem would be getting enough gas in the carb to get her started. Like i said though it always starts just have to crank it for a while which im afraid it might be taking its toll on the electrics and starter. Anyone have any suggestions. It seems that the fuel pump would be fine because the engine runs fine once its going. thanks in advance.
