i have a 2005 50 stroke that boggs and stalls on acceleration, however when i trip up the engine slightly it will plane just fine. i cleaned carbs and the problem still persists. perhaps a float switch or anti-siphon valve? your thoughts are appreciated!

Check your fuel tank pickup tube if your tank is portable. I had a similar problem with a 15 HP Mercury two stroke motor. I ended up replacing the entire tank and that solved the problem. If that pick up tube breaks,it will suck nothing but air and bog down and/or stall. Don't take my word for it,
but that sounds like what might be causing the trouble. Let me know what you find out.
