I've got a 1992 two stroke Mercury that quite on me out on the lake. I tore into it the other night and narrowed it down to something inside the commander 2000 with the idle lever. When I pull the lever up I get spark and when I put it back down no spark. I pulled the flywheel to get a look underneath and there were no bare, frayed, or burnt wires. I ohm the stator and trigger coil and they are in spec. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem before I open up the throttle?
