50hp vs 60hp litttle help

Hi there every one was woundering if sum one could tell me the difference between an 50hp 2 stroke mercury and the same model in a 60hp?its a 1997 merc elpto. Is it possible to make my 50 a 60 with sum minor changes or not? and if so how and where can i find the part or parts? thanks for your time.

Same exact engine ,the only difference is the carbs. The 50 uses a WME-43 series and the 60 uses a WME-44 series, the difference is the venturi size(throat) of carb thus the larger main jets

IS it worth the trouble well your only going to gain at most 5kms an hour i believe and use more gas plus the cost of the parts and the headache of tearing apart and putting back together. Remember you might only save a couple mins running time on the water
