Apparently the Evinrude/Johnson timing wheel encoder PN 0513031 or 513031 for the 1991 V6 engine has not been available for a while. Well, I needed one so I went ahead and made my own. This one should last a while longer than the flimsy plastic stock encoder since this one is made from 6061 billet aluminum. I wonder how many '91 engines have been junked because of Evinrude's killing of this critical part. If anyone out there needs one, PM me and we can make that old engine run again.

Got a pic of bottom and timing slots?
This was taken right off the machine. It has been painted and clear coated since that time.

Link to video with it on a running engine:

Thanks, but let's call it a good job of reverse engineering! I 3D printed the prototype part to verify fit and function. I made the real part from 6061 for durability. I did have it listed on ebay but unfortunately my ignorance in listing items caused a problem. I intended to have a reserve on it but had a buy it now instead. I'll probably get some harsh negative feedback but I have a ton of hours into creating a model of this part. There's no way I can sell one of these for $30 less than what the present design plastic part goes for.

I do intend on listing another, that is if ebay lets me do so.

It was listed as item 265589036856.

I couldn't find the listed item but would appreciate you letting me know if you relist your encoder wheel.
