'52johnson 10hp bent prop

Would a bent prop blade(about 1/8 inch off centerline and bent towards boat side) cause the prop to ventilate? It is a 3 blade,9" prop and only 1 blade is bent.

Actually, I think the term you want is "Cavitate" vise ventilate and that would depend on several factors, ie: Horsepower of the engine, crusing speed in relationship to actual prop rpm (slip rate) and just how far it's bent back. I think your biggest concern should be with vibration causing permature seal and bearing failure. Even if you can't feel it in the boat, it will be there because of uneven pressure from each blade. You might contact a local boat dealer to find a reputable prop repair station.
