I recently purchased a 55hp chrysler motor model # 557HG Serial # 1057. Can you tell me what year it is.

How long is threaded nut that connects the top shift arm to the bottom shift arm.

Nut is about 2 inches. Half has reverse threads and the threads on top and bottom are different size.
