I replaced the water pump impeller on this motor years ago, but I have forgotten what I did to drop the foot off the motor. It seems I had to disconect the shift lever shaft to drop the foot off the engine, but I can't recall how I did that. Any help would surely be appreciated. Great little motor.
rstryker

Hi Rstryker,
Hard to remember here to. There maybe an inspection plate above the LU in the exh housing or when you drop the bolts for the LU and it drops there is a connector,or worst case you have to pull the power head to disconnect the shift.Yours ,I think is newer than the last method I beleive.
...good luck...corm

You have to remove the powerhead to disconnect the 7.5hp shift rod. Don't ignore the carbon seal assembly at the top of the drive shaft. Always replace the 303355 cork gasket and 303347 o-ring. If they leak, it's good-by powerhead.
