HI -
Having trouble trying to lift the motor. The hooks are released from the locking pin.
It seems like the mechanism for the locking pin is stuck.

Johnson Lower Unit Group Parts for 1957 35hp RD-19 Outboard Motor

It's Part #110 that I cant get to move. That releases the tilt pin??? (Pic 2)
Pushing down on the big spring mechanism only unhooks the catches from the pin. (Pic 3)

Any suggestions??
See pics

Thanks

Yes--
It's in the unlock mode.
It only releases the catches that go over the tilt pin
as does the manual pushing of the big spring lever.

Part #110 has no lever release that i can see.
There is only a small spring on the right side.

I will oil it up try again. Maybe push down on the Part #110 after oiled???

Will try to get a better pic.

It looks like if I push part #110 down it will only wedge into the tilt pin even more and make it tighter.

Yep, it looks like the transome clamp assembly needs to come apart and get cleaned. Over time, corrosion will set in and tighten things up, therefore making parts hard to move. Clean every bit of the corrosion out and relube it and it'll blow your mind, how nice things work freely
