I cannot get this thing to budge. I removed the nut used a 3 hole puller and cannot get it to move. Tried tapping it then resorted to heating it. But cannot get it to budge. Is there anything I am missing? I actually pulled the threads out on one bolt. So now to go get some HeliCoils.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The little woman wants to go fishing and we only have a couple weeks of enjoyable weather left.

Thankyou

Try this, spray lots of penetrating oil on the top of the flywheel where the crank comes through it. Get 2 people and 2 prybars, put the 2 bars under the flywheel one on each side. Get the person holding the bars to apply upward force on the flywheel. Put the flywheel nut on the crank in order to protect the threads and give the top a good whack with a hammer, it make take more than once.

You need to use #8 hardened bolts on the puller. Leave the large nut loosely on the shaft, so the flywheel doesn't go flying when it releases. Tighten the center bolt on the puller, then give it a good rap with a hammer. Tighten the bolt a little more, another rap, etc. until the flywheel releases.

BTW these don't come off like tapping a nail in to hang a picture, they need to be hit hard but not enough to bend the crank, it's a fine line doing it without a puller.
