This motor is not seized. I has been sitting for 30 years but periodically the rope was pulled. Now I want to revive it. Obvious stuf... I will replace the ignition parts, and plugs...probably plug wires too. I will remove the carb and replace the parts...(carb cleaner on the needles). As for the cylinders... any tips? Should I put something in there? marvel mystery oil?. I will replace the impeller and gasket. I wil drain the lower unit and, based upon what i find, either refill or open it up to inspect. I just want to be sure not to "bring it" too fast. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I always put a little penetrating oil in the cylinders when I start a project like this.

after is sits with the pen oil. with plugs out, pull the rope several times to get excess oil out an do a compression test. do this before spending any money on restore. it will tell you if you have a good base.
