Value is whatever someone is willing to give. Vintage Boats are NOT like vintage cars. Their value is based only on sentimental value of the buyer. More times than not you won't get back the money you invest in a restoration. Having said that If you like the looks of the boat and it fits your boating needs then the $2-3K you'll invest in a total restoration is WAY cheaper than a new boat. Almost any Used boat that can be had for a reasonable price will need to have some work done to it. The first thing is to evaluate the motor to ensure the compression etc is good enuf to be a runner. Even used motors can be pricey and increase you costs significantly. If she is a runner then your restoration costs could be cut in half.
Bottom line is...if you have the time, inclination, and will power to see a restoration thru to the end...It's worth it!!!
