Can anyone tell me if anything looks off here? (I would post a picture but this is the worst image-friendly forum I've ever tried to work with. I have attempted to reference or upload pics from several sources...no avail...nothing but "invalid file" or no indication of uploading)

I have reassembled the prop. gear assembly and am trying to get it into the housing. My problem is that I cannot get the thrust washer to seat into the groove correctly. The snap ring goes in fine. The oil retainer housing indexes correctly on its pin. However, there doesn't seem to be any room to move the gears back so that the thrust washer nubs can fit into the grooves inside the housing.

Any help? I cannot see any way that this could be together incorectly.

Thanks!

Save the pics to your phone or laptop. Click the attach icon (first one on upper right). Find the pic, and select it. Choose the size (thumbnail, etc.), and post reply. You may have to reduce the size of your pics before attempting to attach, but otherwise works pretty well.

Turn the thrust washer 90 degrees.-----The snap ring is tapered on one side.

Thanks. I’ve just been operating on the assumption that the two protrusions go in that larger slot behind where the snap ring is… Mental block… Thanks again
