Just bought a 5hp Sea King outboard today and know nothing about it. It has a fuel line connector I have never seen before and need help figuring out what to buy so I can hook a tank up to it. Any info on the year would be appreciated too, it appears to be made in Galesberg, Illinois

It appears to be a 1962 model. Made by gale any johnson or evinrude fuel connector should fit.IBOATS sells connectors as well as full hose assemblies.

Thank you, local swap meet is this weekend so I'll keep an eye out for a johnson/evinrude connector. Good to know if I don't find one they are still on here. Thanks again for the info

Clymers only has an outboard flat rate manual, which I am assuming is just a price guide? I am very new to the boating world sorry for all the questions

Hoses and connectors are best bought new since they get replaced often anyway.

Bought new connectors at the local fleet farm store and found 5 gallon tank with a bulb at the swap meet for 8 bucks! Just need some 3/8" fuel line, new plugs and change out the lower unit lube. Going to hold off on an impeller till I see how the existing one works.
