Hey guys,
Recently bought a nicely maintained sailboat.
Went out yesterday and all was fine. Was going to start the motor up again while docked in the marina to rinse it out and the pull cord would not engage the motor. I can pull it out easily and it recoils back smoothly, but it does not engage or crank the engine. This is in neutral. When it is in forward or reverse it properly behaves and is not movable.
I'm guessing this motor is from the 90's, attached a picture for reference.
Hopefully this is an easy fix! The engine runs nicely otherwise.
