6.2L Mercrusier

I need some help? I have a 34 Cruisers INC with a pair of 6.2L MPI s . The lap top showes no codes. The STBD likes to stall more often than PORT but both will stall when shifted in or out of gear. This is intermittent. the water seperators were fine . The compression is approx 150PSI across the board. The fuel however vas from the fall & contained 10% ethenol that was not treated with ethenol stablizer. It is a brownish color & does not smell very strong. I have since put a double dose of startron ethenol stabizer in both tanks. Ideas please!

Good day.
I see we are from the same neck of the woods Chatham here, how do you like the rain upon rain latey?
You might want to include some info on the drives.
I have more experiance with the older Merc stuff and I am sure the experts will chime in but if these are I/O's I would suspect shift cable problems as it sounds as though it runs until you try a shift.
When was the last tune up and is this happening on muffs or under load?

My mistake I should have menchioned that they are MIE modles with Hurth V Drives. The ECM is seeing the shift anticipation signal which is a descrete input from the marine gears to the ECM.
