Hi, i have a 1970 6hp seaking made by chrysler, i can get it running in my barrel real good sometimes, and then all of a sudden it dies and when i check it i have no spark. what would cause the spark to just stop while its running? Thanks, Dennis

Pull the flywheel, check the points, and check for broken or frayed wires shorting against the flywheel.

Bad condensers will cause intermittent running and spark loss but they can not be tested. Replacing them is no guarantee that new ones will cure the problem, but they are relatively inexpensive and worth the try.
