Here's my problem. This motor will not start cold unless you spray gas or starter fluid into the carb. After that, it will start and run good untill you shut it off and it cools down again. Then same situation, you have to spray gas into the carb to get it started again. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm not familiar with that motor, but it sounds like a choke problem off hand. Others will chime in soon....

Well if nothing else this will bump u back to the top.

I would NOT suggest starter fluid in the carbs....it has no lubricating properties and will just get u into trouble. Use premix. I have a spare spray bottle around just for that purpose.

To me this sounds carb/choke related.

Look down the carburetor throat to verify that the choke plate is closed when you pull the choke out.

If it is fully closing then your low speed orifice is probably clogged & time for a carb rebuild.

Is your gasoline new?
