6 hp johnson

[Draveling]

I just picked up a 6 hp johnson the model is 6604A. Can someone help me on the year of this outboard ? Thanks<br />Larry

Welcome<br /><br />That is an Evinrude number which translates to a 1976 6 HP model. Someone might have changed the hood...

Rick,<br />thanks for the info. I bought this outboard with an inflatable, the guy said the outboard was late 80s, Oh well its like new, not a mark on it. It weighs 52 lbs, are the newer 6 hp from the 90s motors lighter or about the same.<br />Larry

Nope. They are within a few pounds of each other...
