1984 60 hp, dumped alot of money in yhis year and finally got it going. went in for tune-up in april, by june we had new plugs, new impellar, new switch box, fuel puump gasket and 2 rebuilt carbs, plus alot of adjustments.. I had to choke it to get up on plane, then it was okay, changed the fuel line just in case. I could use it to fish but my son likes to ski and tube so they kept adjusting the carbs till it no longer hesitated coming out of the hole. Sure they smashed the newly coated prop all to heck but he replaced it. They went to the lake again the next day and were going all afternoon alot of wide open, from the way he deccribes it, it got hot and quit, I have'nt tried it yet cause I'm a little disqusted but have they ruined it since I was'nt there I don't know how hot it got. He just said it was steaming a little bit more than usual. Last year they could go thru 2 tanks of gas in a day of tubing and not have any trouble.

You won't know until you try to start it. If it's seized, you may have a very stylish anchor. If it is seized, remove the lower unit and then see if it will turn over. If not, its the power head that seized and not the lower unit. If its the lower unit thats seized, you might find a used one at any of the marine salvage yards or on e-bay. Same for the power head.
